By becoming a summer member of GOA, schools can expand the summer learning options available to students while increasing pathways to explore their interests. GOA's summer membership is available to any school looking for meaningful summer enrichment opportunities for students.

Expand Your School's Summer Learning Offerings

From June to August, GOA offers its most popular semester classes in an intensive 7-week format that runs in two overlapping terms. Courses cover a breadth of subjects, from Creative Nonfiction Writing to Medical Problem Solving to Number Theory. The dates of our Summer Terms are:

Summer 1: Thursday, June 15 - Wednesday, August 2, 2023

Summer 2: Thursday, July 6 - Wednesday, August 23, 2023

Courses in GOA's Student Program are led by expert teachers who are committed to knowing their students, connecting them to relevant academic content, and engaging them in rigorous work that deepens understanding and builds skills that matter in school and in life. GOA’s courses are rooted in competency-based learning. Visit the Summer Courses page for more information on GOA’s summer course offerings.

Become a Summer Member School

By becoming a GOA summer member, schools are able to offer high-quality, interest-based online courses to high school students in their community at a discounted cost. Summer member schools also receive five complimentary enrollments for educators in GOA’s professional learning courses.

GOA’s summer membership is available to any independent, public, international, or charter school that is looking for meaningful summer enrichment opportunities for students. There is no cost to become a GOA summer member school. What School Leaders and Students Have to Say

  • We are always excited for the opportunities that participation in GOA summer programs provide for our students. The chance to connect with students and educators around the world, about topics that are engaging and meaningful to our students, is something we are so grateful for.” Trish Caley Assistant Principal for Curriculum and Faculty
    Punahou School
  • Prior to taking a GOA course I had little interaction with individuals in different time zones or areas of the world. GOA opened my eyes to the wide array of experiences and perspectives that can come from students…I’ve been able to share opinions, as well as respectfully disagree, on a regular basis despite being in completely different locations.” Amelia Grace W. Student, The Bush School
  • Our summer partnership with GOA has allowed us to offer additional enrichment courses for our students over the summer months. These courses are engaging and relevant, and the predominantly asynchronous format allows students to take their course from anywhere, which gives students and families flexibility when making their summer plans.” Emily Coppersmith Director of Eliot Summer Academy
