Collaborate with AI: Ready to turn your ideas into working apps—no coding experience required? In this seven-week summer course, you’ll learn to create software by describing what you want and guiding AI to build it. You will work with AI coding agents that will help you write, test, and refine code, while staying in control of the creative process. Through design thinking, you’ll move from brainstorming to prototyping and launch, learning how to craft effective prompts, iterate with confidence, and bring your vision to life. You’ll design and deploy two applications, an individual prototype and a collaborative project, while exploring the ethical and security implications of AI-generated code, including privacy, bias, and responsible use.
Why Take This Course? Whether you’re interested in technology, entrepreneurship, or design, you’ll gain confidence using vibe coding tools to build apps for business, education, and fun. You’ll leave with the ability to turn ideas into functioning applications—and a deeper understanding of how to create responsibly with AI.
Students in GOA courses will need reliable access to a computer with webcam/microphone connections, an email address (preferably school-based), a Web-conferencing app (GOA courses use Zoom), and a Word processing app (GOA courses use Google’s G Suite). When necessary, alternative arrangements may be made. Some courses require additional materials which can be found in the Course Outline.
