Course Overview

Analyze National and Global Economies: What happens when governments change interest rates, when inflation rises, or when global trade shifts? In this course, you’ll explore how entire economic systems work at both the national and international levels. Fully aligned with the College Board requirements, you’ll study big topics like economic performance, business cycles, and the impact of fiscal, monetary, and trade policies, all while preparing for the AP® Exam. You’ll learn to analyze data, interpret models, and evaluate governmental policies and to apply these skills to real-world issues such as inflation, unemployment, and international trade.

Why Take This Course? Whether you’re headed into economics or international relations or you’re curious about politics and business, macroeconomics helps you make sense of it all. You’ll learn to weigh different perspectives, think critically about tradeoffs, and practice making and defending your own evidence-based arguments, ultimately building strong cases for policy solutions.
