What to Know About Summer@GOA

  • Term Dates: June 15 – July 31, 2026
  • Cost for Member School Students: Most courses are $840 per enrollment; Algebra II, Geometry, and Precalculus are $1,200 per enrollment.
  • Cost for Non-Member School Students: Most courses are $1,260 per enrollment; Algebra II, Geometry, and Precalculus are $1,500 per enrollment.
  • Time Commitment: Most courses require 10–12 hours per week; Algebra II, Geometry, and Precalculus require 15–20 hours per week. Due to the intensive nature of our summer courses and how hard it will be to ensure success, we advise that students with plans to miss more than 7 total days (including weekends) of the course should not enroll.
  • Course Format: Primarily asynchronous, with regular synchronous touchpoints (times are determined during course orientation), and students will not attend pre-determined full-class meeting times.
  • Expectations: Students are expected to complete all assignments on time and stay engaged through regular communication.
  • Course Materials: Required and recommended course materials can be found on individual Course Outlines (see each course offering page for more details).
  • Grades & Credits: GOA is accredited by NEASC & WASC. Students receive a narrative grade report at the end of the course, and an official transcript is available upon request. Students from member schools will automatically have their report shared with their site director. Families should confirm credit eligibility with their school.

  • Classes in computer science, economics and investments were not offered at my son’s high school. He took several GOA courses in each of these areas. He then went on to major in economics and computer science in college.” Parent of a former GOA student
  • My child’s world opened up after taking GOA classes. These courses introduced her to classes that dig into socio-political issues as they relate to society at large and she has been pursuing them further in college.” Parent of a former GOA student
